A municipal council with a packed agenda including deliberations on the Gare du Sud, the establishment of a municipal education council, school rhythm reform, employment, and the candidacy of Nice in the bid for the Women’s World Cup of football.
Here are the main deliberations on the agenda:
REPORTER: MR. CHRISTIAN ESTROSI, MAYOR OF NICE
0.1 – Gare du Sud site – Urban development operation – Engagement of rehabilitation work on the structural elements of the Train Hall: It is proposed that the municipal council authorizes the engagement of rehabilitation work on the structural elements of the Train Hall at the Gare du Sud site.
0.2 – Creation of a Municipal Education Council. It is proposed that the municipal council approves the principle of establishing a Municipal Education Council tasked with assisting the city of Nice in developing projects necessary for the advancement of its educational policy.

1.1- School Rhythm Reform – Allowance granted to traffic grandpas and grandmas. The implementation of the school rhythm reform requires the enhancement of the missions of traffic grandpas and grandmas to maintain the current level of safety at school exits. It is proposed to the municipal council to adopt this complementary system, which includes an increase in their monthly allowance.
1.4 – Update of provisions regulating residential parking in the thirteen pay parking zones of the city of Nice. It is proposed to the municipal council to update the provisions regulating residential parking in the 13 pay parking zones of the city of Nice.

2.2 – Launch of the 6th edition of the Environment Trophies. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the launch of the sixth edition of the Environment Trophies competition on September 22, 2014.

5.1 – Approval of the Tripartite Agreement between the city of Nice, OGC Nice, and Pôle Emploi for the organization of the Employment Forum within projects related to combating unemployment and insecurity. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the organization by the city of Nice and its partners of the “Employment Forum” to be held in Nice in early October 2014, and the signing of the tripartite partnership agreement between the city of Nice, OGC Nice, and Pôle Emploi.

11.5 – Aid and support for sports practice benefiting young members of a Nice club. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the new support system for sports practice favoring young people from Nice who are members of a Nice club for the 2014-2015 season, which consists of the distribution, under certain conditions, of sports coupons with a unit value of 20 euros for an estimated total of over 200,000 euros.

16.1 – Sale of the BELUGA villa- 1 Avenue Louis PREVEL. It is proposed to the municipal council to authorize the sale of the villa located at 1, Avenue Louis Prével.
16.17 – Development of the metropolitan PLU of Nice Côte d’Azur – Opinion on pursued objectives and consultation methods. It is proposed to the municipal council to give its opinion on the objectives pursued by the metropolitan PLU, as well as on the consultation methods with the public, and to request the Metropolis to prescribe the development of the metropolitan PLU based on these proposals.

19.1 – Nice’s candidacy for hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019. It is proposed to the municipal council to authorize Mr. Mayor to sign the “Host City contract” that the French Football Federation will include in the bid file to FIFA for the 2019 Women’s World Cup.
19.2 – European Masters Games – participation methods and funding search. It is proposed to the municipal council to adopt the participation methods and search for funding within the framework of the organization of the European Masters Games in Nice (October 1 to 11, 2015).

23.1 – Implementation of School Rhythms 2014-2015: Operating Methods* School catering, Leisure Centers, and Kindergarten daycare. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the pricing grid as well as the service regulations for school catering, municipal leisure centers, and kindergarten daycare.
23.2 – New Central Kitchen – Choice of land. It is proposed to the municipal council to decide on the choice of land for the new central kitchen, 271 bd du Mercantour, Nice and to authorize the Mayor to file for a driving permit.

31.1 – Policy for the animal cause: protection and regulation. It is proposed to the municipal council to approve the measures taken in support of the animal cause, both in terms of protection and regulation, including the launch of a physical sterilization program by a veterinarian for pigeons or requesting Mr. Prefect to obtain, if necessary, a regulation order for protected species such as yellow-legged gulls.
