This Wednesday, October 15th, Joรซlle Martinaux, in her capacity as the national president of UNCASS, will open the congress proceedings, which is being held for the first time in Nice. This congress will be Joรซlle MARTINAUX’s first in her role as the president of UNCCAS, elected on September 25th.

unccas_nice.jpg Indeed, UNCASS is the annual meeting of a network that has never had as many members: nearly 4,000 member CCAS and CIAS, in mainland and overseas, whose actions concern 45 million citizens.

This congress brings together nearly 1,000 participants each year: deputy mayors for solidarity, CCAS professionals, and their institutional, associative, or private partners to discuss the role of CCAS against a backdrop, this year, of territorial reform and a sustained social demand.

In fact, the purpose of UNCCAS is to represent, lead, and support CCAS/CIAS at the departmental, regional, national, and European levels.

Over two days, elected officials, State services, general councils, CAF, associations, etc., will discuss the issues, perspectives, and future of public social action at the local level.

The highlights include 7 current forums: seniors in the community / For a city accessible to all / Territorial reform, and local social action in all this? / CCAS professions at the heart of sustainable social development / Men – women: all equal? / Draw me a CCAS / Innovate: for what purpose and how?

It will also be an opportunity to present the results of the 6th barometer of local social action and to award the 2014 local social innovation prize to the winners.
