In the context of the World Day for Overcoming Extreme Poverty, celebrated today, the Cooperative Chanson, in partnership with ATD Fourth World and Les Boubous, is organizing an evening event at the Laure Ecard room located at 50 Boulevard Saint Roch.

This evening will serve as an opportunity to discuss ways to combat social and material poverty both here and globally. The associations ATD Fourth World and Les Boubous will host an information booth about their activities.

Three groups will perform on stage: Noemya will kick off the event by presenting her book “The Rage in My Backpack” against school bullying and social poverty, and will then perform her conscious rap slams reflecting our society. The three young women from emAede will take us on a journey through their multiethnic pop-rock songs. Elias Cruz and his band will conclude the evening with the Brazilian rhythm of Forro, with their colorful compositions telling the history of Brazil’s popular theaters and the spirit of street cooperation and sharing.

Additionally, Benoit and La Lune, as well as Max M., will make guest appearances.

This evening aims to showcase the richness of human connections and the vibrant emotions of rhythm and solidarity. For, as the Little Prince said, “One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
