The 1st Civic Service Forum of the Alpes-Maritimes will be held this Wednesday from 11 am to 4 pm at the Carlone Campus – University Restaurant – 80 Boulevard Edouard Herriot.
The forum will be open to everyone, especially young people eligible for Civic Service, through an information space on civic service, an exchange space between young people and volunteers, and a meeting and interaction area.
WHAT IS CIVIC SERVICE?
It is a voluntary commitment to serve the general interest open to those aged 16 to 25, and extended to young people with disabilities.
Accessible without any diploma requirements, Civic Service is compensated and can be performed in France or abroad.
ENGAGING IN CIVIC SERVICE
Civic Service is a voluntary commitment of 6 to 12 months to serve the general interest. It involves a minimum weekly duration of 24 hours and is compensated at 577 €* per month.
It is possible to carry out a Civic Service mission with an association (federation, NGO…), a foundation, a local authority (town hall, regional council…), a public institution (hospital, museum, university…), or state services (school, prefecture, gendarmerie…).
Missions are available on service-civique.gouv.fr in one of the 9 action areas recognized as priorities for the Nation: Culture and Leisure, Education for All, Environment, Solidarity, Sports, Emergency Intervention in a Crisis, Memory and Citizenship, Health, International Development, and Humanitarian Action.

During the mission

• A theoretical Civic and Citizen Training accompanied by practical First Aid training (PSC1).
• Housing Assistance and the Disabled Adult Allowance can be combined with the monthly allowance.
• Complete social coverage with care for health expenses (illness, maternity…).
After the mission
• An official certificate to keep and assert the Civic Service commitment.
• An engagement that enhances all stages of the journey: education, employment, volunteering…
• Pension rights accumulated during the entire mission duration.
