The number of job seekers registered in category A totals 3,432,500 in mainland France. An increase of 0.6% compared to the end of August 2014. Over a year, it has grown by 4.3%.
Following the 0.3% decrease in August, unemployment shows a new increase in September: there are 19,200 additional job seekers in category A compared to the previous month, according to figures released by the Directorate of Animation of Research, Studies, and Statistics (Dares) on Friday, October 24. This represents an increase of 0.6%.
In category A (i.e., those with no activity) in Paca, the percentage increased by +1.3% in September.
Over a year, the increase stands at +5.5%, higher than the national level which is +4.3% over a year and +0.6% over a month.
In total, 313,518 people are currently in Paca without any activity.
