A charity concert by the Friends of Lacassagne

The International Concert Pianist Jonathan BENICHOU returns to his “home grounds” for a charitable concert that he will give in the Salle de lโ€™Artistique at the Theatre of Photography and Image on October 26, 2014, at 4 PM.

The event is organized by the Association “Les Amis de Lacassagne,” which works towards improving the reception and comfort of patients hospitalized at the Centre Antoine-Lacassagne.

This initiative aims to fill the gaps that the strict management of a healthcare facility cannot fill in diverse areas such as reading, listening to music, acquiring physiotherapy equipment, or even setting up an interactive terminal that meets the expectations of patients or their families, particularly when leaving the facility.

Indeed, illness, even temporary loss of autonomy, situations of suffering, or the mere need to continue a treatment sequence in an inappropriate environment immediately raise existential questions to which this new-generation, interactive, and highly accessible communication equipment provides suitable responsesโ€”if not personalized onesโ€”since the analysis of each situation is based on multidisciplinary input providing essential elements for each case.

Michelle Boucoiran, president of the association, explains the role of the association: Thanks to our partners and the artists who perform voluntarily. Joining the association and attending the shows means getting involved in the quest for the well-being of people affected by cancer.

Thanks to your generosity, more than โ‚ฌ13,000 have been collected at previous events, allowing the Antoine-LACASSAGNE Center to be equipped with comfort amenities to provide patients with essential elements for organizing their daily lives after hospitalization.
