The common thread connecting the paths of terrorists in France over the last two years is Islamist ideology. By programming the political ideal of a society founded on Islam, this ideology gives meaning and form to jihadism.
Jihad against external enemies is at the heart of the Islamist project.
The West, with its democratic, secular, and non-religious principles, is the main enemy to be fought and brought down. The Islamist ideological-political offer exacerbates the pride of being bearers of a sacred truth, defending Muslims dominated by the West.
The jihadist kamikaze operation represents the peak of this fascist logic.
It results in the explosion of French society’s cohesion, succumbing to hysteria and the overextension of exceptional laws.
It’s no coincidence that the right calls for a war of religions. From then on, the security approach appears as the only valid one, condemning any other opposition to powerlessness.
Whereas it is the defense and development of democratic and secular values that should be opposed to Islamist propaganda.
