The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes will dedicate 2015 to outdoor sports by presenting all the departmental sports events initiated or supported by the General Council, and announcing the organization of new events, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and David Lisnard, Vice-President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, Mayor of Cannes, Vice-President of the Pays de Lérins Intercommunal Community.

Mountain activities: the Échappée Blanche at Boréon, the Department’s Vertical Days, the TransVésubienne, the Trail Nature 06 Challenge, and the Enduro Giant at the gates of Mercantour.
Sea and coastal activities: the summer Handivoile Tour, the Voiles d’Antibes, the Nice – Villefranche-sur-Mer Regattas – Pasqui Trophy, and the Cannes International Triathlon are some of the activities the Department and its partners offer to the public along the stunning blue coastline.
Trail running has become an emblematic sport in our department, continually growing thanks to the numerous events initiated by the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes and the facilities that facilitate its practice.
In this dynamic, the Department will organize the Ultra Trail Côte d’Azur Mercantour in 2015, presented as a sneak preview during this session.
During this press conference, Eric Ciotti will announce the organization of new sporting events and competitions in the Alpes-Maritimes in 2015.
