Art Celebration at Ariane: Art and Social Hand in Hand

Latest News

Art in Celebration is an exhibition featuring 12 artists residing in the neighborhood, held at the Lรฉonard de Vinci Library until December 16.

This initiative by Gilbert Bardat (ManuFabrik) came to life through the Residents’ Participation Fund (FPH).

About a hundred works, created by residents aged 14 to 75, are on display: photographs, paintings, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculptures, poems, creative sewing, accordion, pastries, and more.

Funded within the framework of the Ariane / Le Manoir Residents’ Participation Fund (financed by the State, CAF, and the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis), the project aims to showcase the skills of citizens and highlight the talents of the neighborhood.

A cabinetmaker by trade, Gilbert is retired and finally has the time to dedicate himself to this project that has been dear to his heart for a long time: to bring to light the hidden talents of a neighborhood he loves and has lived in for twelve years.

He himself is involved in artistic practice and wishes for exhibitions to take place in this neighborhood just like in the city center. โ€œAnd why not?โ€ he insists. This is the first year, but the idea is for this event to become regular, providing residents with an opportunity to showcase their creations. โ€œThere are artists in Ariane.โ€ It is also an invitation to all the people of Nice to come to Ariane.
