The French alpine skier from Nice, Matthieu Bailet, who recently achieved his best performance with a 6th place in downhill skiing in Bormio, Italy, returned to his roots for a day. Born in Nice but affiliated with Auron for skiing, the former Super G world champion hopeful (in Sochi in 2016) took advantage of his rest days to meet with young members of his club, the Inter Club of Nice.
With autographs, advice, and discussions, the French champion served as a role model for the young skiers from Nice. Matthieu, recovering from a serious shoulder injury, aims to break into the “Top 30” in Super G and downhill skiing.
