Yesterday morning at the Departmental Council, the president Charles Ange Ginésy, accompanied by Eric Ciotti, president of the finance committee, and Jérôme Viaud, Vice-President in charge of the economy, presented the Climate Energy Trophies on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Climate Energy Plan 06, one of the flagship actions of the GREEN Deal.
More than 300 people were present in the assembly hall.
These Trophies reward, each year, the most active players in terms of energy policy and technological innovation. This Friday, 53 municipalities, communities, public institutions, businesses, and associations were recognized.
This forum and these trophies have helped build an ecosystem to preserve our environment. The mobilization of the economic, associative, and institutional sectors is a reality: thanks to the actions implemented, we are collectively working to protect the environments, nature, and water quality. All of this leads to generating a real impact on biodiversity.
Through the GREEN Deal policy, we have inspired a new impetus with Louis Bodin. Important new actions such as: the International Dark Sky Reserve, the SMIAGE to prevent flood risks, the circular economy with the EarthWake association and Chrysalis to turn plastic into fuel, and “06 à table,” the quality of fresh products in school canteens.
Finally, I wish to warmly congratulate all the recipients of the departmental “climate energy” trophies and express the gratitude of the inhabitants of the Alpes-Maritimes to them.
