As every year, Olympic Nice Natation honored the medal-winning athletes of the 2019 season across all disciplines: swimming races, water polo, artistic swimming, diving, open water swimming, and triathlon.
It was Jean Monnot, the club’s President, who opened the “Champion’s Trophy” by wishing everyone a happy 2020.
In total, during this evening, 259 ONN medalists from 2019 at the international, national, and regional levels were awarded.
Christian Estrosi, the Mayor of Nice, was present and took the opportunity to warmly congratulate the many awardees.
But the club’s partners were also present to reward the ONN athletes: Groupama, Mutuelles du Soleil, the IDISS Foundation (Don Bosco), not to mention the city of Nice and Philippe Manassero, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Olympic Departmental Committee.
A pivotal evening, as the “Champion’s Trophy” is an important event for the club to nurture the dreams of the younger ones and realize those of the older ones, keeping in mind that Olympic Nice Natation will always represent the club with 9 Olympic medals from London 2012.
