Christian Estrosi, who has embraced my ecological cause with the faith of a convert, symbolically planted the first tree – an olive tree, a symbol of peace and the Mediterranean – of this 30-hectare park, located between the Eco-valley and the Sports City, which will be twice as large as the Promenade du Paillo.

Designed according to the Anglo-Saxon model, mixing sports activities and a jogging path, it will be about a hundred meters wide, roughly like the Promenade du Paillon. It will cross the Mercantour Boulevard with a large pedestrian and cycling bridge and will continue north of the Arboras up to the Equestrian Club.

The first phase of the project consists of developing a forest of nearly one hectare made up of Mediterranean species such as araucarias, eucalyptus trees, ficus, and pines.

This second green lung will cost 1 million euros. The entire project will be delivered in 2023.
