In response to the almost critical situation of the blood bag stock in the French Riviera area, due to the flu epidemic and the school holiday period, OGC Nice, its Endowment Fund, and the French Blood Establishment (EFS) are taking action and organizing a major blood drive at the Training and Development Center this Monday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and then from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
As a partner of the French Blood Establishment (EFS), the Gym has already organized seven major blood drives at Place Massena since 2016.
The Club and the EFS are therefore counting on a strong turnout from the people of Nice for this important cause, in support of which the Gym has been committed for several years!
Every day, 1000 blood bags are needed in our region for blood transfusions. However, today, only 800 bags are collected, making our area one of the few in France that has to import blood bags from other regions to meet its own needs.
