The Endowment Fund of OGC Nice and defender Christophe Hérelle, sponsor of the “Gym Solidaire” program, presented a check yesterday in favor of the Alpes Maritimes Food Bank.
Christophe Hérelle, defender of OGC Nice and Sponsor of “Gym Solidaire,” presented a check for €3225 to the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank yesterday. These funds were raised thanks to the union of the Gym and its supporters during the Nice-Angers match on December 4, 2018. A €1 increase was applied to ticket prices, which was then collected before the club supplemented the final amount.
For the 8th consecutive year, OGC Nice supports the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank and Inter-Secours Nice (ISN) and is committed to helping the most disadvantaged locals through its “Gym Solidaire” program, in partnership with the City of Nice and its CCAS.
Over the past 8 years, through the “Gym Solidaire” Proximity Program, nearly €70,000 have been given to the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank which converts each euro into food supplies to benefit the forty ISN associations working in the field of social emergency.
In addition to the traditional check presentation, nearly 70 kilos of unsold sandwiches from the Allianz Riviera snack bars are collected after each match for the past 3 seasons and redistributed to the Inter-Secours Nice associations for their outreach operations. Since November 2018, a food collection has also been organized before each match with the Restos du Cœur.
