The young pilot from Nice was the sponsor of the 12th Sports Victories ceremony. A nice reward for the MotoGP rider. A role that suits him perfectly.

Barely 20 years old, rookie of the 2019 season with a fifth place in the MotoGP championship, successor to the legend Valentino Rossi in 2020, and now sponsor of the Sports Victories ceremony, this is a young man who doesn’t waste time. The Petronas rider was the guest of honor that evening, a night celebrating the greatest athletes of the capital of the Riviera. An honor for the local boy. “It’s an immense honor for me, I grew up here, it’s my birthplace. I no longer have the opportunity to come back often with all the traveling. It’s truly exceptional to be the sponsor of this ceremony alongside all the athletes from Nice,” the young man from Nice happily responded.

A unique event

On February 13, at the Acropolis, the entire Riviera sports community was gathered. Under the direction of Christophe Josse, the star commentator of Bein Sports had the hefty task of hosting an evening alternating between shows and retrospective videos. The sponsor had the right to a thunderous arrival. He arrived at the venue bursting out of a cage in his racing machine. The pride of the Riviera was then greeted by Mayor Christian Estrosi. “We never really have the opportunity to see so many athletes, from different disciplines, gathered, and in addition, from the same city. It’s an important event for all disciplines. It gives strength and motivation to reach the top level,” noted the 2019 edition’s winner.

A promising bike while waiting for performances

The MotoGP championship will resume in Qatar for a first race, always tricky for the riders. The successor of Valentino Rossi, back from his tests in Malaysia, comments on his performances: “Our bike is really good. I have excellent sensations on it, just a few more adjustments before the Qatar GP. We want to be ready from the start.” The stopover in Nice is short, as he is already heading back to the Persian Gulf to start his season again. “We might not have the bike capable of going for the title this year. But the podium is possible. I don’t want to say it’s the main goal, but we’re going to do everything to make it to the podium this year.” And this podium at the end of the year begins with a great performance on the upcoming March 8th at the Losail circuit.
