As the epidemic spreads (190 additional cases yesterday) and accounts for 613 cases (16 in the Alpes-Maritimes) with 9 deaths, the Departmental Council is fully committed to addressing the health and economic threat posed by this virus.

For Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, its President: “As the leader of social action for the elderly and people with disabilities, the Department is mobilizing against the health and economic threat posed by this virus. The Department actively participates in the monitoring and vigilance system for the coronavirus, established by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health, as well as the prefectural and health authorities.

Furthermore, the community pledges, through the CCI Nice Cรดte d’Azur, to assist businesses economically by releasing a lump sum of 5 million euros, demonstrating the will to support the stakeholders of our territory.

The Department also wishes to support research against the Coronavirus by providing a grant of 100,000 euros to the Pasteur Institute.
