A unique museum event in France, designed by and for students, Mars aux Musées takes place in the museums of Nice from March 4 to 28.

The 18th edition of Mars aux Musées will be themed around the 7th art, in celebration of the centenary of the legendary Victorine studios.

Every year during the month of March, Mars aux Musées takes over Nice’s museums in the form of performances and walks that highlight various artistic performances such as dance, theater, music, photography, video, as well as off-campus courses and creative workshops.

The aim of the events organized by the event is to bring the museum collections to life and encourage meetings and exchanges around the works.

Mars aux Musées also aims to provide students and young people under 26 with unique and exceptional experiences, allowing them to discover the museums of Nice. The objective is to raise their awareness of the charms of these places and thus spark their interest and curiosity for art and culture.

This year, let yourself be transported into the world of cinema, explore the museums through the various characteristics of the big screen, including behind the scenes, special effects, sounds, images, scripts, sets, lighting, and editing. The 7th art will hold no more secrets for you!

On the program: a journey through time with Patrick Moya, acrobatic performances at the Marc Chagall National Museum, a sound journey, and cinema-theater-concert experience at the Palais Lascaris, or even the screening of a short film produced and realized throughout the festival by the Cinq Assiettes association and projected by Kino at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice.
