Paris-Nice, the last of the Mohicans has arrived!

Latest News

This Saturday, in a dramatic setting, the race to the Sun came to an end. The victory was decided at the top of the Col de la Colmiane, replacing the classic Promenade des Anglais.

While the world, especially the sports world, comes to a standstill with all events in various disciplines on hold, Paris-Nice continues. A controversial continuation, but a shortened race.

Farewell to the Promenade des Anglais as the final judge, it was in Valdeblore that the cyclists faced off in this queen stage.

The stage goes to the man in form this early season, Nairo Quintana. A sharp attack 4km from the summit and a victory with a 46-second lead over the second, Tiesj Benoot. A lead not sufficient to dislodge the German Maximilian Schachmann, the winner of this edition. Nestled in the wheels of his teammates and then Sergio Higuita, the Bora rider delivered a flawless performance.

On the French side, there is some disappointment; Julian Alaphilippe finished 10 minutes back, Romain Bardet faltered. The only satisfaction comes from Thibaut Pinot with a podium finish (3rd) and a 5th place overall.

Nonetheless, the most important thing lies elsewhere; the riders were aware of it, an edition concluding in a very special context.
