Pianist David BISMUTH in a Charity Concert for the Friends of Lacassagne

Latest News

The Friends of Lacassagne are organizing a musical concert to raise funds in support of their association’s activities.

This event will take place on March 16 at 4 PM at the Church of Saint-Franรงois de Paule.

A native of the region and from a family of music-loving doctors, he deviates from a predetermined future to immerse himself in music. It was at the age of eight, while celebrating a friend’s birthday, that he discovered the piano; the revelation, the obvious truth, love at first sight!

Mindful of his education and sensitive to his inclination for music, his parents arranged for his tutelage.

Noticed by Anne QUEFFELEC, he joined the Nice Conservatory. Four years later, with a first prize in piano, he was admitted to the CNSMD of Paris in Gabriel TACCHINO’s class, then in Brigitte ENGERER’s class. Holding piano and chamber music prizes, he sought to perfect his sound under Monique DESCHAUSSEES, a disciple of Alfred CORTOT.

From his mentors, he learned authority, elegance, virtuosity, the relentless pursuit of the perfect sound, serving the endless possibilities of the instrument to which he adds a touch of melancholy; an alchemy that places him in the “top ten” of French pianists… piano “haute couture”!

A sought-after chamber musician, he travels across France, Europe, and the world, accompanying the best ensembles under the baton of the greatest conductors, without neglecting the parallel universe of the most prestigious festivals. A discreet performer, endowed with rare sensitivity, David BISMUTH opens his recitals by dedicating a few minutes to presenting his program, during which he invites the audience to enter the world of composers and their works to discover the family connections and links that unite composers, performers, and listeners.

A lover of intimate venues where real exchanges with the audience take place, David BISMUTH offers you a program built with a sense of harmony, starting with two pieces from the BACH family, the first by Johann Sebastian, the father, the second written by his eldest son.
