Initiated by Collรจge Vernier, the 6th edition of the “ONU-NICE” project was organized in three schools in Nice (Collรจge International Joseph Vernier, Institut Stanislas, Fondation Don Bosco) and at the Mediterranean University Center this Thursday and Friday.
This project is a remarkable intellectual, civic, and human experience, conducive to the development of critical thinking and sociability among young people. It is aimed at students from 8th grade to 12th grade.
More than 400 high school and middle school students attended these two significant days of simulating a UN session.
The ONU-Nice project is a representation, as accurate as possible, of the functioning of the UN: structure, operation, procedures of the various bodies, addressing global issues.
The project’s objective is to raise students’ awareness of the functioning and role of the United Nations. It also provides an opportunity to develop knowledge of the contemporary world through the discovery of different countries and the issues they face.
