Four days before the deadline, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe detailed this Thursday the modalities of this exit from lockdown, which promises to be extremely delicate, differentiated, and quite relative.
Although being in a red zone is not a “punishment,” as the Prime Minister assures, we are all pleased that the Alpes-Maritimes is in the green diagonal zone that cuts the country in two.
After two months of lockdown, while it is true that freedom will remain limited everywhere, at least until June, everyone dreams of reclaiming at least a fragment of their former life.
And they are already wondering about the holidays… For that to happen, the health situation needs to be stabilized and the epidemic contained.
For now, the government will try to exit the lockdown “slowly but surely.” The process is a balancing act and a complex operation given the many variables, but the executive had little choice but to move forward.
