The Ministry of Health has delivered the daily report on the epidemic in France. Here are some key figures to remember:
– Since March 1st, 25,987 people have died from the coronavirus, including 16,386 in hospitals and 9,601 in social and medico-social establishments. The daily toll is 178 deaths, down from 278 on Wednesday.
– 23,208 people are still hospitalized, with 728 new admissions recorded in the past 24 hours. 2,961 patients remain in intensive care (186 fewer than the previous day). Since the beginning of the epidemic, 95,210 people have been hospitalized, and 55,027 people have returned home.
– In total, there are 137,779 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France.
