The coronavirus epidemic has claimed 80 more lives in 24 hours in France, the lowest daily toll since early April, bringing the total number of deaths to 26,310 since March 1st, including 16,573 deaths in hospitals and 9,737 in social and medico-social establishments, the Directorate General of Health announced in a statement on Saturday.

The pressure on intensive care units continues to decrease, with 38 new severe cases admitted to intensive care, bringing the total to 2,812 severe cases (-56 severe cases).

Regarding hospitalizations, 22,614 people are currently hospitalized in France compared to 22,724 on Friday.
