From the moment the decree was published, FO contacted the General Director of the Nice University Hospital (CHU), the Departmental Delegate of the Regional Health Agency, the Mayor of Nice and President of the Supervisory Board of the Nice University Hospital, as well as all the elected officials in our department, to ensure that this exceptional bonus would be granted at its maximum amount, i.e., 1,500 euros, to all hospital staff who have been mobilized to face this pandemic.
Even though the Alpes Maritimes department is not among the hardest-hit departments, our facilities have nevertheless gone into battle mode: staff have changed their work hours from 7 hours and 42 minutes to 12 hours of work. They came to work with a heavy heart, taking risks both for themselves and for their families. Some were even housed outside their homes to protect their loved ones, which is a testament to their complete selflessness.
