Organized by the city’s Municipal Archives, the exhibition “Portraits of the Past of Local People” is on display from April 27 to October 31, 2019.
By blending the past and the present, the open-air exhibition invites visitors to contemplate faces captured by photographers of yesteryear. 70 large-format prints are available for viewing, accompanied by short texts written by Christelle Accary, an employee at the Archives, producer, and designer of the project. The portraits can be seen at five different locations: the Biovรจs gardens, Lorรฉdan-Larchey square, Campanin gardens, Ardoรฏno square, and the Sablettes esplanade.
The exhibition offers a journey through time, allowing visitors to explore the Belle รpoque until 1960 and rediscover everyday scenes from the lives of both the bourgeoisie and modest families of the Old Town.
