Walter Benitez, the Argentine goalkeeper for OGC Nice, extended his contract which was due to expire at the end of June.
Having started 106 times in Nice’s goal, the 27-year-old goalkeeper, trained at Quilmes, south of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, joined Nice in 2016.
He played under the management of Lucien Favre and then Vieira.
