Exports increased faster than previously estimated by Insee, with a recorded rise of +3.5% in 2018.
This leads the statistics office to revise the GDP growth last year upwards from +1.6% to +1.7%, ultimately little impacted by the spring railway strike and the “yellow vests” crisis.
While Insee previously assessed last yearโs growth at 1.6%, the institute has redone its calculations and now estimates that the GDP of France grew by 1.7% in 2018.
