This summer in Nice, culture in a short circuit

Latest News

From July 3 to October 3, there will be no fewer than 210 events taking place in 60 different locations with over 600 artists.

With the coronavirus and the cancellation of major prestigious events, we were predicted a gloomy or even dismal summer. On the contrary, it will be a magical interlude with an explosion of performances in all neighborhoods. On every square, in every street, in every garden, and of course in all cultural venues, there will be dozens and dozens of shows of all kinds: theater, concerts, dance, performances, visual arts, happenings…

The uniqueness of this program is that it will be delivered by our local companies, which is what we call a triple win:

1 – a little economic boost for our local entertainment professionals who have suffered from the crisis;

2 – the people of Nice, many of whom will spend their summer in Nice, will be able to have fun, be moved, dance, and sing like they may never have done before in their city (and for free);

3 – local companies and artists will have an unprecedented exposure in their city.

Thus, we can say that in terms of culture, short circuits are worth exploring and that often we search far for what we have right before our eyes.

For the detailed program, a little more patience is needed. The Events and Culture departments are working tirelessly day and (I’m told) night to present the final program as quickly as possible.
