The Department of Alpes-Maritimes has been heavily involved in the fight against the AIDS virus and sexually transmitted infections.
This commitment has been realized through Information, Screening, and Diagnosis Centers for sexually transmitted infections, and Anonymous and Free Screening Centers (created in 1988 in response to the AIDS pandemic).
The goal of the departmental council, committed to the fight through CeGIDD 06 (*), is to offer users free access to screenings by providing information and free screening centers throughout the year.
