The Steering Committee of Team Espoirs CDOS 06 welcomed 15 new athletes at the launch of the second season of the innovative project aimed at athletes from the Azure region.
The 35 athletes of this season 2 were introduced one by one to the audience of parents, coaches, and officials. In total, 16 girls and 19 boys make up this group of aspiring athletes from the Azure region, which brings together 17 disciplines and 27 clubs from the Alpes-Maritimes department. “The Team Espoirs CDOS 06 is a unique product in France. After the first week, I knew it was going to work because there was nothing for athletes aged 17 to 23, and I am proud to be part of this sports community,” expressed the President of CDOS 06, Philippe Manassero.
Like Vanessa Siegel, who represented Charles-Ange Ginésy, the Department expressed all its support to the athletes and the steering committee, which also includes a mental coach and a representative from the economic sphere. These contributors offer the athletes training modules alongside their training. Thus, Team Espoirs 06 is part of a dual project combining the sports field and the professional field.
What is Team Espoirs?
Team Espoirs is a personalized support system that allows young talents from the Azure region, aged 17 to 23, who are listed on the national high-level list. The main goal is to facilitate their daily lives so they can achieve their sports objectives, while also providing them with increased visibility.
The motto of Team Espoirs CDOS 06 is to give young athletes the means to shine in competitions, while helping them ensure a professional future.
