On May 11th, the first day of the easing of lockdown in France, Charles Anges Ginésy, president of the Alpes-Maritimes department, proposed an exceptional departmental plan: “Senior & Disability Solidarity 06”. Adopted at the departmental assembly, this measure aims to implement a large-scale program of actions in favor of social connections and the autonomy of vulnerable individuals, notably with the HappyVisio platform.
This new initiative, promoting remote access to prevention, awareness, and leisure activities, “aligns with our desire to support our seniors so that they have access to training and information and can find answers to their concerns: well-being, care, culture,” states Charles Ange Ginésy. HappyVisio is also a platform to combat isolation, offering fun and cultural activities through digital means.
A new online conference and workshop service
HappyVisio offers seniors various services such as the opportunity to attend hundreds of online conferences on topics related to their daily lives (health, nutrition, taxation, consumption…). They can also ask questions to experts via the online “Chat” and participate from home in memory workshops in groups of 10 to 15 people, led by neuropsychologists. This service is supported by the funding conference of the Alpes-Maritimes and helps to complement the existing prevention system, reaching isolated people or those hesitant to go out due to current risks related to the coronavirus crisis.
How to register?
With just a computer or tablet, simply go to the website www.happyvisio.com and then click on register or log in. You then need to fill out a short form, provide your address, and create a password. To access the online content for free, the user must enter the code CD06 in the “partner code” box. After reading and accepting the terms, a final click on “complete registration” and you’re all set.
