The Ecogestes Méditerranée campaign engages sea users in favor of sustainable development and environmental preservation, particularly focusing on marine biodiversity.
The objective is to adopt practices that respect the marine environment in order to protect the Mediterranean coastline, a cradle of diverse habitats and animal and plant species.
To achieve this, Ecogestes ambassadors will meet boaters at sea to discuss their practices and suggest areas for improvement.
The topics covered will include: waste sorting, respectful anchoring, eco-labeled cleaning products, wastewater recovery, and regulations for recreational fishing.
