OGC Nice and Khephren Thuram have reached a preliminary agreement to finalize the young player’s move to OGC Nice.
Sought after by the biggest European clubs, the young U18 international – he turned 18 last March – at the end of his youth contract with AS Monaco, made the bold choice to join OGC Nice to sign his first professional contract.
“Khephren has very great qualities and is also a hardworking boy,” according to Gilles Grimandi, the technical director of the Gym. “He was quickly convinced that his development as a player would come through gaining playing time in a team that practices possession football and in a club that does not hesitate to give young players a chance.”
A versatile midfielder, he has already showcased his qualities in the Champions League last season with the Monaco club, and he also stood out in the Youth League – notably scoring against Chelsea – and in various French national teams.
Attracted by the Nice project, the midfielder will sign his professional contract and join Patrick Vieira’s squad when training resumes on July 1st.
