Supporting innovative companies and better protecting the oceans.

The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis stands alongside economic players and is committed to doing everything possible to reconcile economic development with the protection of biodiversity and the environment.

Today, it is launching the “Blue Innovation Challenge” call for projects, which will support the implementation of local experiments.

This call for projects aims to enable the implementation of innovative local experiments (demonstrators) in terms of renewable marine energies, biotechnologies, maritime security and surveillance, port management (smart ports), maritime engineering, aquaculture, fisheries, and maritime tourism. The selected projects must adhere to an environmental protection approach with a high degree of technological innovation. Artificial intelligence projects will be valued.

The selected projects will win aid ranging from €30,000 to €50,000, which can represent up to 50% of the total project cost, as well as a year of accommodation and support within the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis business incubator (CEEI). This will allow the project leader to quickly integrate into the local economic ecosystem.
