A positive outcome for the 71st edition of the Nice Jazz Festival

Latest News

Yesterday, Christian Estrosi gave a rather positive assessment of the latest edition of the Nice Jazz Festival.

“It’s a great success!” Christian Estrosi proudly announced in front of an audience of organizers and volunteers at the 71st edition of the Nice Jazz Festival.

The Mayor of Nice indeed has reason to be proud since the first and oldest jazz festival in the world set a new attendance record this year with 42,700 spectators, compared to 40,100 in 2018.

With sold-out concert evenings, the festival managed to bring together 10,000 people each night. A record shattered thanks to an “internationally renowned lineup and an offering of 6 concerts per night,” explains the Mayor of Nice.

The Jazz Off festival, on the other hand, gathered 5,000 people for the 70 concerts held throughout the city.

Finally, the Mayor of Nice made a point to thank the festival’s stakeholders and organizers, as well as the volunteers, the municipal police, and the emergency services mobilized throughout the festival.

See you next year from July 17 to 21, 2020, for the 72nd edition of the Nice Jazz Festival.
