Nice has its hiking trail: walkers … ready?

Latest News

Inaugurated yesterday, “Lou Camin Nissart” is a circuit developed through hikes undertaken over 4 years around Nice and its hilly surroundings. This circuit was marked by the trails and routes commission of the Departmental Committee of the French Hiking Federation of the Alpes-Maritimes.

Originating from this initiative, which will please many leisure athletes, is the sports-youth-animation-event commission of the Consultative Municipal Council, chaired by Philippe Manassero (also the president of CDOS06), with councilors Jean-Pierre Laffite, Joseph Borello, Manuel Mayer, Marie-Claude Digeon, Jean-Pierre Rossi, and reporters Thierry Pattou and Nicolas Cerami.

The principle is to connect the summit of urban hikes on the hills of Nice with a departure and arrival at iconic locations: Promenade du Paillon and Promenade des Anglais.

The circuit: Promenade du Paillon, Port de Nice, Mont Alban, Mont Vinaigrier, Saint Pancrace, Saint Roman de Bellet, before descending via Magnan onto the Promenade des Anglais.

The features: A total elevation gain of nearly 1,000 meters.

The kilometer measurement: Basic circuit: 42.195 kilometers (depending on the variants: 60 kilometers of marked circuits).
