Muriel Mayette-Holtz officially took over the direction of the Thรฉรขtre National de Nice (TNN) on Friday, November 1st.
Starting Monday, she will lead her first “orality class” offering public speaking training sessions, open to everyone and free of charge, two Mondays a month.
Then, in September 2020, she will launch her first program.
Muriel Mayette-Holtz succeeds Irina Brook, who announced in October 2018 her intention to leave this national dramatic center (CDN) before the end of her second term.
Minister of Culture Franck Riester appointed her on August 2nd, preferring her over comedian and humorist Michel Boujenah, who was supported by Daniel Benoin, the former director of the TNN from 2002 to 2013, now head of the Anthรฉa theater in Antibes, and an influential (unofficial) cultural advisor to the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi.
