The University Côte d’Azur raises awareness among its staff about disability and diversity.

Latest News

From Tuesday to Friday, across various campuses, Université Côte d’Azur is launching a communication campaign aimed at its staff to raise awareness about disabilities, particularly invisible disabilities (which account for 80% of disabilities), and its desire to build a more inclusive university.

This campaign will include a day of conferences and a round table, co-construction workshops titled “Promoting Mental Health at Work: What Managerial Approach?” and numerous immersive and entertaining activities throughout the week on different campuses.

The campaign will start with an inaugural conference on “Working with a Disability at Université Côte d’Azur: A Lever for Improving Working Conditions” this Tuesday at the Grand Château de Valrose Theater. It will be followed by a conference on the theme “The Inclusive University” presented by Bertrand Monthubert, who leads the “Building an Aspie-Friendly University” project.

The workshops “Mental Health: What Managerial Approach?” are open to managers and conducted as working groups with a maximum of 14 participants per session, repeated over three days at different sites. They have been tailor-made taking into account the issues encountered at the university and will be hosted by four facilitators, whose expertise in these areas is of the highest level.

Throughout the week, playful activities will be available, upon registration, including an Escape Game on the St Jean d’Angély campus to experience diversity in a fun way, a demonstration and initiation to Para-Taekwondo on the sports sciences campus, and a silent bar on the Valrose campus.
