Opinion: Municipal Elections 2020: “Citizens, Get Involved for the Municipal Interest!”

Latest News

On the occasion of the first night of Democracy and Territory, engaged citizens, collectives, associations, local elected officials and parliamentarians, experts in democracy and citizen engagement issues, are calling on every citizen to mobilize and dare to engage locally, everywhere, regardless of their backgrounds.

Laurent LANQUAR-CASTIEL is a co-author of an opinion piece in the Gazette des Communes: “We have chosen to publish this very broad op-ed, bringing together associative and political actors ranging from ecologists, socialists, communists, democrats to centrists. This is a municipal interest appeal that transcends all divides.”

In this context, engaged citizens, collectives, associations, local elected officials, and parliamentarians, experts in democracy and citizen engagement issues, are launching an appeal that transcends partisan boundaries.

Their objective: for citizens to mobilize and dare to engage locally, everywhere, no matter their backgrounds, because they are not alone and will be supported to undertake ambitious projects for their territories.
