Latest News

The number of recorded cases was 12,489 in 24 hours, compared to 3,466 on Saturday. During the holiday period, this daily data has varied greatly since mid-December, fluctuating between around 3,000 and more than 21,000. However, it remains far, on average, from the government objective of reducing to 5,000 cases per day.

The positivity rate, which measures the percentage of people testing positive for Covid-19 out of all those tested, has been increasing for several days, reaching 5.2% on Sunday, compared to 4.6% the previous day.

With 116 new hospital deaths in 24 hours, Covid-19 has now caused 65,037 deaths in France since the beginning of the epidemic. The number of patients hospitalized for Covid-19 is 24,780, which is 322 more than on Saturday, with 657 new admissions during the day.

The number of patients in intensive care or critical care is also slightly up, with 2,665, which is 33 more than on Saturday, with 101 new admissions.
