This year, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis is supporting three start-ups at the Consumer Electronic Show, the world’s largest digital trade show. Among them is “IRATEN,” a start-up dedicated to progress.
While the 54th edition of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas is in full swing despite the health crisis, the promising start-up “IRATEN” is participating. The company, led by Patrice Flori, can count on the unequivocal support of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis.
The Mayor of Nice, with the aim of making his city a model of innovation, sees the presence of start-ups in a positive light: “For a few years now, I have been committed to supporting young entrepreneurs who are betting on innovation.” A smart city, a territory ambassador of innovation in Europe, and the development of start-ups are the Mayor’s future aspirations for the city of Nice.
Using CES Las Vegas 2021 as a launch pad, the start-ups “IOTHINK SOLUTIONS,” “TALENTCON,” and “IRATEN,” all based in the Alpes-Maritimes, are working to positively advance the department through technology. This is how the start-ups are perceived by the ambitious Christian Estrosi: “A 100% digital edition that will highlight our local start-ups and showcase all their dynamism and creativity.” Dynamic and creative, two words that perfectly fit the “IRATEN” project.
An asset for Nice’s development
Located in Nice, on Place Garibaldi, “IRATEN” develops software to optimize and automate companies’ information systems. Specializing in data processing since its creation in 1989, Patrice Flori, owner for three years, leads a team of four competent individuals.
After a career of over 20 years as an IT director in the industry in Monaco, a new adventure begins: “For a few years now, we have been doing ‘machine learning’ around collected data to derive insights that help companies work better in the industrial field or management.”
With clients including banks, public administrations, and health insurance companies, “IRATEN” recently developed sensors to track, in real-time, all self-service vehicles such as rental cars, bikes, and scooters. An interesting novelty for the city of Nice and its users, in a bustling downtown area. Furthermore, the implemented sensors can also track valuable vehicles and works of art, a concept that should reassure vehicle renters.
