The Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis proposed to the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, in connection with the city’s scientific council of experts, which includes Professors Carles and Mondain, infectious disease specialists at the Nice University Hospital, and Christian Pradier, Head of the Public Health Department at the Nice University Hospital, a reinforced health protocol to avoid the early closure of bars and prevent the closure of restaurants, for establishments that would officially commit to signing and adhering to this protocol.

Among the commitments that establishments must make are temperature checks at the entrance, enhanced cleaning operations, management of traffic flow, keeping doors open, prohibition of smoking including outside, etc.

These measures should allow signatory establishments to maintain their current opening hours.

In return, the City of Nice commits to conducting regular inspections by the municipal police and assures that any breach of one of the commitments will result in an administrative closure of the establishment.
