The 55 municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes department recognized as being in a state of natural disaster following the damage caused by storm Alex have between 400 and 600 artisanal businesses. This means that as many artisans need the human and material support necessary to resume their activities.
“We will be, more than ever, by the artisans’ side during this ordeal. It is essential to help businesses overcome the disaster they are facing: we urge the affected artisans to contact our services as soon as possible,” declares Jean-Pierre Galvez, President of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
Actions are already in place:
– The calamities and natural disasters fund, amounting to 700,000 euros, has been immediately activated. This financial support aims to help entrepreneurs cover essential expenses and consider the possibility of resuming activity under the best conditions. This aid complements the urgent business fund of the Alpes-Maritimes, enhanced by the South Region, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Metropolis, the CCINCA, and the URSSAF.
– The Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the PACA region offers on-site assistance in the main affected municipalities to be closer to the specific problems of each business, helping them build their files in a precise and effective manner.
– A donation drive for the affected populations has also been set up within the premises of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts in Saint-Laurent du Var. These essential products have been transported by our services to the nearest collection center to the storm-affected area.
