This Saturday, January 15th, between 500,000 and 700,000 people who have not received their Covid-19 booster shot may see their health pass deactivated. However, this number is overestimated, according to Olivier Véran.

“Among these people, there is a significant number who have had an infection and have not yet uploaded proof of their infection into TousAntiCovid,” announced Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, on France Info this Wednesday, January 12th.

In reality, the number of people whose health pass will be suspended by the deadline on Saturday, January 15th, will be lower.

As a reminder, the government announced at the end of November that the booster shot, available to all adults, would be necessary to maintain the health pass, which will soon be replaced by a vaccination pass. Without this booster or a recovery certificate, the health pass will be deactivated starting January 15th.

However, it should be noted that this does not mean all people who have not received a third dose before this date will see their health pass deactivated. Only those whose last injection was more than seven months ago are affected.
