The President of the Republic has notably planned to implement a “health pass” anticipating the reopening of cultural venues and restaurants. A tool that would allow “more easily tracing the chains of contamination” and also “more easily presenting a recent negative test,” according to Emmanuel Macron.
In France, health authorities recorded 4,703 new cases and 379 deaths in 24 hours, according to the latest information provided by Santé Publique France. The total tally now rises to 3,760,671 confirmed cases and 86,829 deaths (including 61,973 in hospital) since the beginning of the health crisis.
As of February 28, 2,974,019 people have received a first dose of the vaccine in France. 82.9% of residents in nursing homes have received at least one. 9,483 new hospitalizations and 1,942 admissions to intensive care have been recorded over the last seven days.
In the PACA region
This Monday, health authorities in the PACA region recorded 1,563 people hospitalized (+31), 480 people in intensive care (+9), and 5,740 hospital deaths since the beginning of the health crisis (+89).
In terms of vaccination, 236,066 people have received at least one vaccine dose throughout the region. 125,801 have received both doses.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, there are 354 conventional hospitalizations (+5), 119 people in intensive care (+12), 210 patients in follow-up and rehabilitation care (-17), and 1,064 hospital deaths (+17).
The test positivity rate is 10.1% in the Alpes-Maritimes compared to 7.6% in the entire PACA region. The department 06, which just spent its first weekend in lockdown, still holds the highest incidence rate in the region: 603 compared to 369 for all PACA.
