In the last 24 hours, health authorities have recorded 5,327 new Covid-19 cases and 360 deaths in France, according to the latest information provided by the Public Health Agency, France.

The total number now stands at 3,909,560 confirmed cases and 88,959 deaths (including 63,296 in hospitals) since the beginning of the health crisis.

The test positivity rate has slightly decreased: 7.2% (compared to 7.3% the day before). As of March 7th, 3,881,967 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine nationwide.

9,520 new hospitalizations and 2,065 admissions to intensive care have been recorded over the past seven days.

### In the PACA Region

In the Alpes-Maritimes, the department recorded a record number of 13,048 vaccinations in 48 hours. This was part of the plan to accelerate the vaccination campaign in the city of Nice and its metropolitan area. It is worth noting that department 06 has one of the highest incidence rates in France (566/100,000 inhabitants).

As of March 8th, 1,564 people are hospitalized (+44), 492 people are in intensive care (+15), and 5,999 people have died from Covid-19 in hospitals since the beginning of the crisis (+101) in the entire PACA region.

In the Alpes-Maritimes, there are 384 conventional hospitalizations (+2), 123 in intensive care (+9), 195 patients in follow-up and rehabilitation care, and 1,135 deaths in hospitals since the start of the epidemic (+29).
