Latest News

This race, which will take place from February 20 to 22, boasts a list of great champions such as Bernard Thรฉvenet, Laurent Jalabert, Laurent Brochard, and Luc Leblanc.

As every year, many international riders will be at the start of the Tour to succeed Gianlucca Brambilla, winner of the competition in 2021.

Among the contenders to succeed the Italian rider, we should notably find two former winners, Thibaut Pinot, winner of the general classification in 2019, Nairo Quintana, victorious in 2020, and Guillaume Martin, winner of the Mercantour Classic in 2021. Peter Sagan, a three-time world champion, is also among the headliners.

For this 2022 version of the Tour, 22 professional teams, including 7 labeled “World Tour,” will be at the start of the competition. The 54th edition of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var will undoubtedly crown a climber.

If the first stage drawn in the Var, between Saint-Raphaรซl and La Seyne, might favor a sprinter, the other two in the Alpes-Maritimes will have a very different topography. Participants will find the cols of Saint-Raphaรซl, Vence, and Eze during the second stage between Puget-Thรฉniers and La Turbie. This year, the riders will conclude with a final stage from Villefranche-sur-Mer to Blausasc, where they will encounter the col dโ€™Eze again as well as the ascent of the col Saint-Roch, before a finish at La Pointe de Blausasc.
