Following the success of the previous 7 editions, the national cooking competition “Young Talents” organized by the Title Maître Restaurateur will be present in Nice this Monday, at the Paul Augier Hotel and Tourism School for a sixth qualifying round.
Open to apprentices and young chefs (under 24 years old) who are training within a restaurant holding the “Maîtres Restaurateurs” title, the Young Talents competition aims to enhance education and promote French excellence and gastronomy.
It is in the premises of the Paul Augier Hotel and Tourism School that the 10 candidates selected through their applications will have to create a dish for 4 people within the allotted time of 2 hours and 30 minutes on the theme “Rabbit Saddle on a Jaunt with Bacon and Crayfish accompanied by a variety of potatoes with seasonal mushrooms.”
The talented young apprentices will be evaluated by a jury of professionals on the live execution, presentation, and tasting of their work.

The sponsor of this 8th edition of the Young Talents competition is none other than the Elysée’s Chef: Guillaume GOMEZ. Awarded “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” in 2004, he has served as Head Chef at the Élysée Palace since 1997.
