A bitter defeat against Paris (22-23)

Latest News

For the fourth day of the Butagaz Energy League playoffs, the Nice team hosted Paris 92 last night. In a closely fought match from start to finish, the team from the Paris area gained the upper hand in the final moments of the game.

Right from the start of the match, the team from the French Riviera applied constant pressure, creating an initial lead (7 to 2) within the first fifteen minutes of play. However, the Lionesses showed their determination and adjusted their offensive strategy to come within one goal by halftime. It was Laura Flippesโ€™ nine goals that gave her team a second wind. Dominating throughout the evening, the Nice team was caught off guard in the final moments. They came within minutes of securing an important victory that would have propelled them into the top 5.

With this defeat, the red and blacks are now seventh in the playoffs (out of 8) and allow Paris to take the fourth place, previously held by Chambray. We are halfway through the pre-season phase and the Riviera team is up against the wall. Mathematically, nothing is over yet, but they must win all their upcoming matches and hope for a slip-up by their direct competitors.
